ALT. COUNTRY

ALT. COUNTRY
A onetime somebody in a last-chance marriage.
The ballad of a former country rocker in flight from his shadows, ALT. COUNTRY tracks the legend of Harvey Kooper: oaken-voiced troubadour, suburban mystic, romantic fuck-up. Haunted by the regrets of a lifetime, he runs from near-fame, leads spiritual fasts in the San Fernando Valley ("Country Music's Salinger," a bartender calls him), finds Jesus, marries a radio host who spins musical dreams of forgotten pasts--and then recreates all the chaos and grief he had tried to break free of. Meanwhile he is shadowed by a faded, possibly delusional, Rolling Stone reporter who believes that the hero's slide toward noble obscurity in the heat of the culture wars is a story for our times.

Hey you live in LA, I live in L.A. Let's be friends!
This "invalid argument" warning at top--is that serious?
Richard's suggestion worked, but the new material lost all its paragraphing. Depressed, I chose the reordering link and very intuitively held and dragged the chapter all the way off the bottom of the grid, as it were. And it went away! Or it exists in some limbo only you guys know about. I'm fine with it being gone until the paragraphing is debugged.
Yup, turns out that was just a half solution! Further solutions to come. Ongoing thanks for patience ;-)
I just posted a how-to here: http://redlemona.de/baaj/blog/manuscript-and-chapter-management Hope it helps!
Well this is fun, but I notice the Introduction didn't post...
Drat. I *think* your best bet is to use the "Add Chapter" link at the bottom of each existing Chapter. But hold off on doing that for the moment until we investigate further...
