I grew up in Ontario and for the past several months have been living in Avignon, France, as a secondary school teacher. I consider myself a reader, not a writer, but I do love learning about the writing process -- especially world-building. I studied English literature during my undergrad and in September I'll be back in British Columbia, Canada, to study for an MA in English at the University of Victoria. I've worked in restaurants, on boats and in a 19th-century British fort, and for a couple years I even worked as security at a nightclub. Most importantly and most happily I've interned at a little literary press in Erin Village, Ontario, called the Porcupine's Quill. I do my best to work for social justice, but I still have a lot to learn.
