Best time of day to write:
Late afternoon, when the sun has shifted and the light has an orange hue.
To put my thoughts to page, to make them leap, make them inspire the way others words inspire myself. To make someone turn the page, tear it out and post it on the fridge. To put a picture in someone's mind, have them turn it over and over, disect it, dissolve it and reform it and make it their own. To be able to write freely, on an old desk by an open, sunlit window, with a cup of coffee and nothing but uncontrollable ideas. To create characters that carve their own paths and say things that I never thought to say myself. I want to create worlds and shape them, plant seeds and watch them flourish. I want to start wars with men who dream of freedom and the men who want to crush them. I never want to kill a hero, but I will if it calls for it. I will do what needs to be done.
If I can find a story that doesn't let me go, I'm in, full-on committed until the end. I will read and read and read until it's over, then I will punch walls and break glass and scream for more. Or, I'll find another and lather, rinse, repeat. I'm inspired by snippets of films and old B&W photos. Love is something that gets me going, gets my heart beating like an old conga drum. And I will beat that drum until my fingers are bloody .
