The son of a single mother nurse, Eric Nelson came of age in the concrete jungle of New Jersey, eating iron ore and spitting out grenades of Mickey’s Malt. Nelson’s fiction and non-fiction has appeared in Volume 1 Brooklyn, Constellation Magazine and Zine World; and his book of short stories, The Silk City Series, was released in 2010 by Knickerbocker Press. Nelson is also co-curator of the Brooklyn reading series, Fireside Follies, a volunteer at ABC No Rio and a founding member of the 1441 Writers Collective. He is currently trying to sell his first novel.
