Erik Wennermark is a writer of fiction, nonfiction, and journalism. He has a BA in Individualized Study (with a focus in Drawing/Painting and 20th Century European Literature) from New York University and an MFA in Creative Writing (Fiction) from the University of Alabama. Erik has worked as a librarian in Baltimore, a gallerist in New York City and Venice, Italy, a painter in Denver, and a teacher in Alabama, Chicago, and Vietnam writing all the while. One of his proudest accomplishment is climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with his father; other memorable trips include Peru, Cambodia, Syria, and the Balkans. Erik lives in Sri Lanka.

About "I am Falun Gong": I started writing the book, or got the idea at least, when I lived in New York City, near Chinatown, and I would watch the people doing Qigong in the morning. I then saw Falun Gong protests--quite theatrical affairs--in NYC, Montreal, and DC, and I was hooked.
