Bio/Mission
Poet, writer, mother, grandmother, widow, partner, friend, family member, gardener, triathlete, hiker and for 30 years Executive Director of the NH Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence. I resigned my position at the Coalition on June 15, 2011 to concentrate on my creative self, but so far am finding more consulting work than writing coming my way. I've had a chapbook published, numerous literary journal publications, a NH Council on the Arts fellowship, a fellowship to the Vermont Studio Center, and my poetry manuscript The Truth About Death will be published by Turning Point Books in April 2012.
Inspirations
Social justice, creative sparkle, reading, writing, loving, be honest about grief, talking, my grandson, running, quiet woods full of snow with more snow falling, swimming in a summer lake, working with smart smart women to end violence against women, new ideas, connecting with communities of writers whether sitting in the same room or on the same website.
