I've been a writer as long as I can remember, but until the past couple years, it was just a hobby - except for that period in high school when I was going to write the very next NYT bestseller. Reading recharges my batteries, so I read, and write, on a daily basis. I read almost anything, fiction and nonfiction, with the exceptions of celebrities and sports, and I don't care for most lit-fic. I read a LOT of romance, especially paranormals, followed closely by thrillers/suspense, fantasy, horror, crime, action/adventure... I have too many favorite authors to list, in many genres, but the top of the heap is JR Ward. I usually write on my laptop, sitting on the couch, while hubby watches TV, reads, or plays games. Late evenings and nights are my most productive times. I also take the laptop along when we go anywhere more than a half hour drive (which is almost everywhere from here) and write as hubby drives. My grandsons are my top priority, then the rest of my family. Other than spending time with them, and writing and reading, I have numerous other interests. I enjoy gardening, sewing, cooking, various crafts, rough camping, horses. I also create original acrylic and charcoal art, and tattooing.
