Lewis Manalo
Bio/Mission
A writer and filmmaker, Lewis Manalo's first novel, The Sins of Swann Mercury, a magical realist adventure, was published in 2007. He has written for Publishing Perspectives, Real Travel Magazine, and PBS.org, and his short fiction has appeared in Guernica Magazine and other online publications.
His film work has been featured in several festivals, including a screening of the video short "a private moment" at the 1999 New York International Independent Film and Video Festival. After a three year stint in the Army, Lewis completed his feature-length documentary Blood and Earth in 2006.
The former buyer for Idlewild Books in New York City, Lewis has been anxiously waiting to drink the Red Lemonade.
