I am a poet and writer and single mother of three mid-Counties speaking children. My eldest is fourteen and my youngest is eight. I'm glad I started this motherhood business early because now it's my time to unleash my literary talents upon cyberspace. Richard and I went to uni together and hooked up via his roomie Kevin Young, the poet, who co-edited a magazine with me called "Diaspora." Sadly after the first edition, I did my own diaspora and went into permanent exile in a country governed by a monarchy and a rotten coalition government. All in the name of blind love of course. I got stuck in Oxford after I studied and received an MA at the University in Jurisprudence (the snobbery of Oxonians is unbelievable -- they couldn't just call the course LAW!) I was one of 5 black law students in a class of 300. No there is no affirmative action here. I can be very depressing, angry, political, and loving like all of us. I am still working on a book which seems like it has taken 5 years so I went back to poetry.
