Like most of us, he was a mixture of opposites at war with himself. He was also possessed of a great intellectual talent and, like many creatures of the mind, found the world outside confusing. Nicholas Schoonbeck was born a bastard in Grand Rapids, MI. Adopted by a single, gay, Quaker, psycho-therapist man who owned a circus by the time he was eight. Nicholas has been exposed to a variety of experiences that have led to him becoming more myth than man. Life has confided so many stories to him, he feels obligated to share them. His hopeful project is the evolution of man to myth as explored through the journals he kept after his daughter was born. He currently lives in Catskill, NY and is also becoming a tattoo artist, combining his love for art, illustration and body modification together into a profit in order to fund his need to change the world.
