P.A. Cavazos
Bio/Mission
I'm lucky! I'm lucky enough to have been born into a family of Texas storytellers and have written under direction of Tom Grimes, Virgil Suarez and my main-man Rolando Hinojosa. Currently I write instant, disposable works under a variety of false names on found newspapers or I type instant works as gifts on a variety of typewriters I've collected since I was a boy. While I imagine fictions each day I almost never have the luxury of time to write them, so I often tell stories over dinner and am partial to challenging my audiences' perceptions of what is real with stories of ghosts or spirits. I'm a male feminist.
Inspirations
Thomas Bernhard, Sociology, Philosophy of Language, Border Dynamics, exposure to vernaculars outside my microsystem, Mr. Sam Lightning Hopkins, Jimmy Reed, Bessie Smith, Cotton Fiber, Artstuffs, Artifacts, Objects, Lovers, Women, Family, You, You, You.
