Bio/Mission
A great paradox of my life is that I have long been attracted to roles--professor, lawyer, public relations professional, graduate student--that require me to write, yet in all those roles I have struggled to coax language out of myself (even while filling shelves and shelves with journals). Now at mid-life, I am on a quest to overcome this, to learn to defeat or elude the Not Writing monster.
Inspirations
Modern and contemporary architecture. China. Technology. Travel. Read mostly nonfiction. By "mostly" I mean "virtually only." Love Rilke, Salinger, David Shields, lots of essayists.
