HT Brian Sweaney:

Comparing our favorite indie presses deserves its own thread. I regularly read books by McSweeney's, Graywolf, Two-Dollar Radio, McPherson & Company, Melville House, Tin House and Unbridled Books. Greg Michalson at Unbridled in particular has a great feel for social media.

I'm an intern at dzanc and gotta throw down the dzancbooks love...
Exact Change. I didn't know I liked them until I went through my books and it caught my eye. Their books are beautiful and distinctive in material form, so once I had the revelation it was easy to see I owned several of their works. Of course, I loved the literature as well. Dalkey Archive would be my second. And shout out to Greywolf for "The End."
Here are some Canadian Presses that I like: Coach House, House of Anansi, Arsenal Pulp Press, Freehand Books, DC Books, and Tightrope Books.
Personal note of thanks for everybody adding presses!
Coffee House Press! I love them and have reviewed several of their books. They're amazing and publish great, great stuff. They're in Minneapolis/St. Paul. http://www.coffeehousepress.org/
