VIABLE, an offbeat novel about politics and volunteerism, explores the intersection of social media, character assassination and the shifting demographics of the Iowa Plains during the Political Caucus season. All told through the eyes of Marco, the campaign communications manager; Cindy, the six foot tall transgender volunteer with testicular cancer; and Lissa, the tragic heroine who stumbles into the campaign and martyrs herself in an attempt to sanctify the whole rotten contest: it's the story of a nascent third party’s rise, a fringe candidate’s road to the Presidency and one woman’s desperate search for a place to start over after a loss.
