I wasn't sure about this one at first but then the characters pulled me right in. I was surprised they were school kids, still living at home, L seemed very grown-up.
The telepathy is perfect because how often would you choose to be able to do that? Especially between people who have some connection or other.
It's interesting you chose only initials for names; I like it.
