When she's assigned to teach accent improvement in Bangalore, Stella thinks it might be a chance to restart her life. But perplexed by some Americans who can't adapt, and others who become permanent hippie travelers, she finds herself still stuck. Neither the mysterious older man who becomes her lover, nor her journalist father who comes to Bangalore to work on a book, can show her the way. But a chance encounter with a helpless American bank customer gives her one last chance to find herself.
