If the world was a bowl of cherries then Henry's have been baking in the sun for way too long. His views on life are as capricious as the wind.

Mikita, So glad you dig Henry. Yeah his brain might be a bit pickled. He keeps a huge stash of wine in his tiny kitchen. He's quite paranoid about ever finding the cupboard bare. Until Lizzie came into his life he never thought too much about the opposite sex so she acts like a catalyst in bringing him out to a wider world. His usual MO of survival has been to remain in the smallest world possible but changes now begin to flood his life. His reactions to this are, hopefully, anything but predictable. Thanks!
Just read excerpt 1. I love the flow of consciousness; I love your use of syntax here. I want to know more about this character, Henry, and his relationship with Lizzie, and with wine. Funny, as I was reading I started to feel a bit drunk. I was relating the flow of Henry's consciousness to the effects of the wine on his brain, so it was a bit of a jolt at the end for me to realize he didn't actually drink any.
Richard, Thank you. It's very cool that you enjoyed the WWW excerpt. Much appreciated. I think what I'll do is put up the actual scene when (his name is Henry) meets Alice for the first time and she doses his drink. I have two drafts I need to 'sew' together some how.
